It’s about partitioning your application/solution according to units of business value. Each unit (or a bunch of related ones) are a service, and a team is responsible for a service *end-to-end*.

In that sense, a service is *not* a “thing that answers to requests”, but a logical (not physical) unit with a business meaning, that has minimal (if any) dependency on other services.

I really should start blogging about this stuff.
